immersion blender!
The Cuisinart CSB-77 Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments is pretty handy for blending up small amounts of vegetables for Harley and other birds to ignore when it's time for dinner. The immersion blender works pretty well for soups, too.

I'm Queen of the seed tower!
The Societies take turns at being King or Queen of the Seed Towers. Today, it's Goober's turn to be Queen Of The Seed Tower.

Can I Play?

Earl Grey, singing his Hunka Hunka Burning Love song, and dancing a toned-down version of his Hunka Hunka Burning Love dance, to Goober. Both birds are inside the Plastic Semi-Evil Nest Box, and Frank is on the edge, poking his head inside. Does he want tasty seeds? Or is he feeling amorous?

Time To Preen

Peanut in the middle of things
Although this photo doesn't prove it, we had some sunshine today, and Peanut sat on the open door of his cage, preening. This spot is about as close to being in the middle of things as Peanut can get. He's so handsome!

What's In Here?

Frank continues to sit on the Society's porch, checking things out. Sometimes Frank just sits on the porch, sometimes he pokes his head inside the box; sometimes the nest box is empty, sometimes there are Societies inside. A few times, Frank has done this near bedtime, trapping one or two Societies outside the nest box. They chirp their alarm calls, hover near him, trying to get in; finally they'll just push their way inside. Pretty funny.

Maybe one day Frank will sleep inside with them. That'd keep him warm at night.
