I've mentioned
before that Frank and Sally are early risers. Now that Sally's dead, though, Frank is all alone first thing in the morning. Sunrise is around 6 am these days, but I can hear Frank rustling long before that. Sometimes I'll sneak out to the kitchen early, and watch everybody get up. If I'm quiet enough to keep from disturbing Peanut (who rouses the rest when he squeaks at me), I can watch a sweet moment: Frank sitting on the porch of the nest box the Societies sleep in, peeping and singing his Hunka Hunka Burning Love song, trying to wake them up. I've posted a photo of Frank on the porch before, click
here to see it again.
